Objective To get my picture into HotRod magazine, if my owner ever gets his act together.

Mickey's Mustang

My Birthday

I was born in San Jose, California, 1965.   Although I was originally green, Do to age, modifications, and owner's preferences, I am currently sporting a Ford Brilliant Blue color.

1965 -1980

What can I say, I don't remember too much about the early years, except that I had 2 previous owners. The first, an older lady who took pretty good care of me, the second a "kid" who put a roller cam in me, which made it difficult to start and stop for stoplights.

1980-1996

Car-ported or garaged in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Complete transformation from a plain mustang to a hotrod. Most of my modifications from bodywork to engine work were done by Mickey Evert and Robert Gardner (my owner).

I have a few relatives, a 1966 cool cousin (owner was Mickey Evert), not sure where he is now, last I heard, Mississippi. And a 1966 brother who passed away do to a "molachi crunch", (totaled front and back) while sitting still at a stoplight no less, anyway I now have some of his interior parts. Thanks bro.

1996-1997

Garaged in Dallas, Texas. Did absolutely nothing except for 1 wax job I received.

1997-Present

Garaged in Chandler, Arizona. Getting a major maintenance checkup and into "show" condition. I am hoping to enter a few hotrod shows. It would be nice to show off my mint condition after being "garaged" for so long.

Education (Experience)   What can I say, over 100,000 miles, in mountain, country, and desert roads, in all seasons. A little bit of street-rod racing, ok, a lot of street racing, I hated to be passed. I once bent a rod (replaced them all with stronger ones), ripped a motor mount which caused the cut in the upper radiator hose with the flex fan blade (not a good idea and is to this day chained down), snapped my pinion gear on the rear of the drive shaft (too much torque) as a result I got very close to rolling over (passenger window was just about to kiss the pavement) and I had to do a 180 to plop back down on all fours!, and have been up to 141 mph. Needless to say I don't do those things anymore ;)
